Hey everyone so this last blog and it's on how athletes are marketing themselves off the field. I don’t know too much about sports but when athletes are trying to shape their image it’s a 50/50 chance between hurting and gaining from it depending on the situation. An example of an athlete that damaged their career was Michael Vic for dog fighting which was animal cruelty. He actually lost all his endorsements that he earned but years later Vic is now again at top player and gaining more money before he committed animal cruelty.

Was Tiger Woods happy or not?

We all Tiger Woods and what he does but when Tiger Woods was caught having an affair it was like the end of the world because the public wasn’t expecting that from him. With him having an affair it actually didn’t break him or make him he still the top golf player and making money that’s all that matter he doesn’t need the endorsements anymore.

Kris Humphrey gained from Kim K. didn’t nobody even know who this man was until he came on the seen with Kim K. Kris has endorsement’s now making more money and I think the whole wedding thing was all phony and a publicity stunt now we all know who he is thanks to Kim lol.

Athletes can be role models but what the people need to understand is that they are human just like we are, they are liable to make mistakes to and it’s okay to no one is perfect out here. I don’t think their celebrity  aspects of their lives interfering with the game not at all because these people understand they can’t mix their personal life with their job and the main two athletes I just mentions are still on top although they had a lot of craziness going on in their life.

How musical artist making it in the business

In todays world it seem like anyone can become famous no matter what you trying to become. People use the internet as their source to market themselves and YOUTUBE play a big part. Back in the day you had to have true talent too really be in the music business today as we can all see it don't take much to be a singer or rapper. A famous youtube star is Justin Bieber this young boy uploaded his talent which was singing and later got discovered by Usher the R&B singer, so youtube actually worked out in his favor because he used utilize his resources now selling out millions. Yes many people are using the internet to get rich and famous not only do people promote themselves on youtube but also FACEBOOK and people are going marketed themselves wherever to get seen. Many are independent artists waiting to get seen by a recored company so it's just a matter of time and waiting patiently for their "golden ticket" but if it don happen I guess they are SOS lol but that don't mean they are not talented becuase a recorded company didn't pick them up. I don't think this Phenomenon will affect the usefulness of the record company becuase alot of this producers are going on these social networks to find artists, I do think they need to start picking wisely tho because alot of these artists are BS that made it through the internet like Soulja Boy he's okay but whom am I to judge his talent. I will give it to Soulja Boy he did make nice club song's but we need some songs that have true meaning  like sending out a positive messsage to our youth becuase they look up these music artists and music today vs music back in the day is a big difference with the message that artists are sending out. These new marketing are helping radio and cd buying becuase people can also market themselves on radio and the radio will play your songs so thats helps promote alot. Marketing on the INTERNET is great!!!! look people just trying to make it by all means necessary.

Shouting The News

Folllowing the case on the death of Michael Jackson, Alan Duke, demeanor speaks out loud and clearly that if  Dr. Murray would have called 911 quicker Michael Jackson would have still been alive. Speaking out about the Michael Jackson case guest Dr. Alon Steinberge whom was a witness cardiologist, Prosecutors who argued that Murray is responsible for Michael's death, another guest was deputy Davild Walgren who states that fact that if u drink propofol it will have travel effects on the person. It was just Michael Jackson time no matter if he performed cpr correct or hooked him up to machines he was already dead; sad to say but I think he gave up on life seems to me he was already on drugs just legal ones. Dr. Murray has been Michael doctor for years so now he just wanna kill him off lol thats crazy. Micheal was a weirdo from childhood he was already dealing with issues with his self and drugs happen to play the bigger part.
This case was all over on CNN today so I actually watched other cable news achors to see how they felt about the case Erin Brunette was the choosen one for me to watch. Besides Erin being a pretty she just a little to calm for me she not like my girl Nancy Grace she gotta stop dancing with the stars and get back to work lol and Alan not like Larry King, both of them are very irate and aggressive with their guest. CNN is not like our local news stations this cable tv anything goes and dealing with an case thats high profile like Michaels we need aggressive people to serve us with the information.  Erin Brunette didn't really get down in depth with it she just ask simple question like is Dr. Murray guilty or not sorry Erin but the people don't wanna hear that.  Alan Duke did a good job but these two need to learn how to be a little more aggressive with their guest becuase viewers like that and dig deep into the business. Why you think? Bill O'Reilly, Racheal Maddow, Nancy Grace and Larry King last so long because they fearless when it comes to their guest. 
To me this hole case is all about opinion we will never know the exact facts of this case because like I said before this man already had major issues going on with him clearly. But becuase it was the King of music the media has to point fingers as I recall Micheal Jackson once stated that there will never be an old Micheal Jackson to LIVE and that wasn't long before he died so to me he called his own death.  

 I do pray that Micheal Jackson family find peace and healing in their hearts with his death and don't hold Dr. Murray accountable for their love one death we will never know the exact truth about the death of Micheal Jackson.

Reality television: real or unreal

Reality Television has taken over in our homes there is a least one reality show on each network. I am  huge reality fan I do not think reality tv is negative mindless behavior. Reality TV has some great positive shows like Teem Mom, Made, True Life all these reality shows air on MTV, the Message with these are real life situations and struggles that people are facing and can actually relate to not partying and the craziness that people think of reality shows. I must say Jersey Shore is like one of my favorite reality shows many people are against this show but what people fell to realize its entertainment purpose only also its their job they were hired to acted this way vice verse with people on their own jobs working regular 9-5 have to act and dress certain way only difference is their is partying and getting paid for it. People find anything to complain about and its older people if you don't like what these reality show messages are sending out don't watch no one is forcing anyone to watch these type of shows. Some of these shows reflect society like three  I named in the begining I agree to an extent society is influeced by these shows but we as viewers has to remember everything thats on tv or what we hear by these tv stars is set up for ENTERTAINMENT think about it with out these kind of tv shows television would be boring its not that many sitcom shows that come on anymore. The main ones that are bashing reality tv trust if they had the opportunity presented to be a reality star they would take it why because it's all for the love of money and money rule the world. This is defiantly how people becoimg famous today, If a person had to name ten top stars I guarantee a least three are going to be in that list. Im not embarrassed to watch because I support reality tv Im smart and wise enough to seperate real life from entertainment of what I like to watch on tv. Reality television is not bad at all people need to lighten up a little.

The Baltimore Sun

The Baltimore Sun has been around for many of years and has entered into many of homes throughout the years. Before internet became so popular today our elders depended on the newspapers and if they didn't tune into the news to see what was going on around the world and their communities. Stories that the Baltimore Sun issued was from crime in the areas, employment, the funnies for the children, weather and some media so it pretty much covered everything we depend on the internet for now days. The audience of this newspaper is our grandparents and parents but this News Paper also captured some young people from the ages 20-30. I was one of them kids that had to walk to the corner store for my granny to get The Baltimore Sun whether it was hot or cold lol she didn't care that’s before they start delivering so i had no choice to be a part of the movement of reading a newspapers at the age 10 like many other children in the community. The Baltimore Sun use to cost fifty cents but today it’s like dollar and fifty cents what a big difference. i want to think that newspapers will survive not just the Baltimore sun but with the internet taking over i don't think it will so like it’s pointless of a newspaper because of technology has made our American citizens lazy they don't have to read much. I do think it’s unfair to people that does get and actually reads the News Paper because a lot of older people is not computer literate so why take away their enjoyment that’s been around. If newspapers are fading that takes been back to the cost they should and need to lower the price back down. People purchase Newspapers for many different  when the hot sticky summer approach people you it to eat their crabs that’s really a tradition lol, also newspapers has come in handy for many school projects and around the holidays mainly Halloween so Newspapers does play a big role of our lives i don't think they should stop making Newspapers. What happens if the internet shut down worldwide? People would be lost and in a up roar just like the people that are used to reading the newspaper. i have nothing against the internet at all because i do enjoy using it but really its making us lazy we are not exercising the brain we not reading as much as we should. so the newspaper does provide a lot.

Magazines

Magazines are a part of the medias way of  telling stories about people, or stories about things that happen around the world. The images that I see on magazines are those of celebrities. The images are good but often times they are bad. Sometimes they seem realistic, but sometimes they dont because the magazine writers often exagerate the idea of celebrities. The headlines can destroy the image of these people. Not often do you see a magazine where celebrites are congradulated for doing the right things. Soon as they do something bad or anything bad happens the whole world begins to know about it. These headlines can be positive at times but I believe they are mainly negative. Yes I believe diversity is represented because all celebrities are exposed for different things. However, its not just celebrities; everyone and everything is being exposed in these magazines. The balance between gossip and reality is not really equal. In magazines there is way more gossip than reality. Women are presented with all the bad images. I say this because whenever a woman does something wrong it's everywhere. Not only is it everywhere but their stories are also molded into something that in the begining it wasnt. Women are often times stereotyped because its ok for men to do things but when a woman does it, it's a problem. Men always seem to get the easy way out of things. I don't believe there is much diversity in the images because of the stereotype on women. The magazine that stands out to me is Ebony because to me it gives women courage and it really doesnt talk bad about the celebrities. Yes I want to buy them because they can be encouraging and they sometimes seem very hopeful. On the inside I see stories and headlines about African Americans. The stories draw me in because it often takes away that stereotype of women. The advertising is pretty good; not too shabby. In my opinion I believe this is what people want because noone wants to see all the bad stuff about celebrities, they want to see when someone is doing something good.
